Dr.Who The Roar of Our Stars by alicexz

As I look around me inside this Starbucks, I can’t help but feel grateful for all that I have. Three years ago, my family and I were struggling and living under the poverty line.

Earlier this year, I took my twin brother with me to the Caribbean islands for his graduation present. Last week, I purchased my mom a brand new car. A few weeks ago, I helped my dad find his own place.

The past three years of my life have been an incredible journey with all the changes in my life, trials and exciting challenges, in my plans for the future, and noticing changes in my self.

The pressure of new life paths, setting an example for my brother, supporting my parents, keeping up with friends and people who truly bring happiness and value in my life, as the person I am now, has molded in me a strong sense of self-worth and appreciation of those around me.

Cheers because today was amazing and tomorrow will be even more so because I will always strive to make is so; for my family, community and for myself.
